Men's Cross Country Places Fifth in Greeno/Dirksen Invite

Men's Cross Country took part in the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational on Saturday in Lincoln. The Tigers placed fifth in the Gold Division (non-NCAA D1 teams) and was the second-best NAIA team behind preseason No. 2 St. Mary (Kan.).

Porter Bickley led the Tigers with a time of 25:58.4 to place 21st overall. He is the first Tiger since Alec Wick in 2019 to run a sub-26 minute race at this event. Thomas Oliver posted a time of 26:07.1 to place 27th. Doane's final three runners in their Top 5 came across the finish line with nine seconds separating them. Luke Bonifas was 40th in a time of 26:31.1, Nelson Ruto was 42nd with a time of 26:36.8, and Emmanuel Yego placed 46th in a time of 26:40.3.
