York Rallies in 7th to Down Tiger Softball

Softball took on York on Sunday in their third game of the Friends Invite. In a back and forth battle, the Panthers held off the Tigers, 5-4.
York jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning with a three-run home run. Doane came back in the third inning and tied the game on a bases-clearing triple by Marisa Marquez. Addison Parsons followed with a RBI-single to plate Marquez for a 4-3 lead. The Panthers regained the lead in the seventh inning with two runs.
Bri True started in the circle and went 0.2 inning, allowing three runs on one hit and three walks. Hannah Kline entered in relief and went 5.1 innings, allowing one run on five hits and a walk while striking out two. Faith McDonald went 1.0 inning, allowing one run on three hits with two strikeouts.
The Tigers had eight hits in the game. Anna Prauner and Parson had two hits apiece. Jeryn Allen, Marquez, Katelyn Hays, and Rylee Sand added a hit each.
Doane will close out the Friends Invite by taking on the host Falcons.
