Clark Takes Third Overall to Pace Shooting Sports Squad
Shooting Sports opened their season on Saturday and Sunday by competing in the Southwestern Grand American in Kansas. The Tigers finished fifth overall with a 953 team score.
Five Tigers made the trip with Skylar Clark leading the way. He placed second in the Singles Trap category with a 198 (out of 200 targets). In Doubles Trap, he posted a 94 (out of 100), and in the Handicap, he posted a 97 (out of 100) to place second. In the High All-Around, he finished third with a score of 389.
Seth Swinea finished with a 386 to finish seventh in the High All-Around. He recorded a 197 in Singles Trap, 97 in Doubles Trap, and 92 in Handicap. Sam Arnett finished with a 373 with scores of 186 in Singles Trap, 93 in Doubles Trap, and 94 in Handicap. Cody Eye also had a 373 with marks of 195 in Singles Trap, 95 in Doubles Trap, and 83 in Handicap. Jessica Himmelberg posted a 326 with marks of 177 in Singles Trap, 75 in Doubles Trap, and 74 in Handicap.
Eye also competed in two additional competitions on Friday, participating in the Non-Registered Handicap where he had a 46 (out of 50) and in the Pair Doubles where he posted a 94.
Next up for the Tigers will be the Warrior Open in Lincoln on September 23-24 at Lincoln Trap & Skeet Club.
