Shooting Sports Places Sixth in Hastings

Shooting Sports competed in the Hastings Invite on Saturday and Sunday in Grand Island, posting a total score of 1,329 to place sixth. Doane recorded a 467 in trap, 476 in skeet, and 386 in sporting. Fort Hays State was the winning team with a final score of 1,396.

Seth Swinea led the Tigers with a final total of 272 (94-95-83), finishing fourth in the men's division. Cody Eye posted a 270 (93-95-82) to finish fifth. Skylar Clark tied for 13th with a 264 (95-98-71).

Payton Detavernier placed second in the women's division with a 263 (96-94-73).
