Hatcliff Named NAIA All-American for Women's Basketball

Doane sophomore Mak Hatcliff has been selected a NAIA All-American for the 2022-23 women's basketball season. Hatcliff is the first Tiger to earn All-American honors since fellow Beatrice native Hanah Barnard was selected for the 2016-17 season.

The leading scorer in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) for the second straight season, Hatcliff earned NAIA honorable mention honors this season, her first All-American honor.

This season, she averaged 21.6 points per game, sixth-most in the NAIA, while shooting 51.7-percent from the floor, eighth-best in the GPAC. She added 6.9 rebounds per game, sixth-best in the conference, 2.4 steals per game, second-best in the GPAC, and 1.8 assists per game.

Through two seasons, Hatcliff has scored 1,353 points, 14th-most in program history. She has also pulled down 429 rebounds, an average of 7.3 per game which would rank second-best on the program charts but she currently falls shy of the games played requirement to make the list.
