Hatcliff Snags GPAC Player of the Week Honor

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's basketball players-of-the-week for contests played January 6-12, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

 

Offensive – Mak Hatcliff, Doane University (Guard)

Mak Hatcliff of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women's basketball offensive player-of-the-week for her accomplishments in two wins last week. This marks the second time this season Hatcliff has received the honor and is the tenth of her career.

Doane defeated No. 14 Concordia and Waldorf in their two games last week. Hatcliff led the Tigers with a 26.5 points per game average while also averaging 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.5 assists per game. She shot 56.0-percent (14-of-25) from the floor, 75-percent (3-of-4) from behind the arc, and 91.7-percent (22-of-24) at the free throw line.

In Doane's double overtime victory over Concordia, Hatcliff posted 39 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. In a road win at Waldorf, she posted 14 points, four rebounds, one assist, and two steals.

The Tigers will be back in action on Wednesday, January 15, with a road game at Hastings with tipoff set for 6 PM.
