Hatcliff Named Third Team NAIA All-American
Doane University Women's Basketball senior Mak Hatcliff was announced today as an NAIA All-American for the third straight year. Hatcliff was named Third Team All-American for the 2024-25 season.
Hatcliff posted 19.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 3.0 steals per game this year in 23 games. She missed six games during the middle of the season due to an injury.
She will go down as one of the all-time greats in Doane Basketball history, finishing her career with 2,455 points. After breaking the women's basketball school record in the final game of the 2023-24 season, Hatcliff added 442 points this year in 23 games and finished second all-time, men or women, behind Brian Hoffman's 2,505 career points.
Her talents were not just in scoring the basketball, which she finished with a career shooting percentage of 50.1-percent. Hatcliff posted 797 career rebounds (7.2 per game), 228 assists (2.1 per game), and 307 steals (2.8 per game). She is second all-time in steals, 10 shy of tying the Doane record, while finishing sixth in total rebounds and second in rebounds per game. Hatcliff ranks in 11 of 16 Doane Top 10 career statistical categories.
