YANKTON, S.D. — The Doane women's basketball team used a dominant first quarter to set the pace and a relentless performance at the free-throw line to secure an 81–67 conference road victory over Mount Marty on Tuesday night at Cimpl Arena.
Doane led from the opening quarter and steadily built control, taking a 33–25 advantage into halftime before stretching the margin to as many as 17 points in the second half. The Tigers outscored the Lancers 48–42 after the break, including a decisive 27–27 fourth quarter that featured timely scoring and strong defensive rebounding.
