Women's Golf Takes Second at Mount Mercy Invite
Women's Golf competed at the Mount Mercy Invite on Saturday and Sunday in Marion, Iowa. The Tigers finished the 36-hole event with a 649 (329-320) and placed second overall. Their 36-hole total is the second best in program history, six strokes off the mark they had a week ago in Yankton, S.D.
Connie Jarm paced the team with a two-round total of 160 (81-79) to place fifth overall. Tia Phaisan placed seventh with a 162 (81-81) and Sydney Streeter finished in a tie for eighth with a 163 (84-79). Payton Morgan placed 11th with a 164 (83-81) and Laila Saunders tied for 18th with a 172 (90-82).
Phaisan led the team with four birdies while Jarm and Morgan added three each. Streeter and Saunders had two apiece.
Doane will return to the golf course on September 16-17 at the Hardrocker Fall Invite in Rapid City, S.D.
