Doane Women's Soccer battled through a scoreless first half only to see Morningside pick up three goals in the final 45 minutes of a 3-0 Mustang win.
The Tigers held a slight shot advantage in the first half, 8-7, with shots on-goal standing at 6-3 in Doane's favor. The Mustangs flipped the totals, out-shooting Doane, 13-6, in the final half with shots on-goal at 9-3.
Morningside scored twice in a 46-second span as Ellie Gengler gave the Mustangs the lead and Roselynn Bosman followed with a goal. Brooke Brabban scored the final goal for Morningside.
Grayce Southern (FR/Tulsa, Okla.) had six saves in 66 minutes, allowing two goals. Hannah Drolshagen (SR/Englewood, Colo.) picked up two saves in 24 minutes, allowing one goal.
Doane will travel to Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday, October 8, for a 1 PM match in Mitchell, S.D.
