Women's Tennis Drops Close Match to Grand View

Doane Women's Tennis took on Grand View on Saturday in Red Oak, Iowa. The match was played until a team reached four team points with the Vikings posting a 4-2 win.

Doane won the doubles points by winning at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Ashlyn Kucera and Nina Ngo won 6-0 at No. 2 with Kailyn Groski and Grace Schroller winning 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles action, Ngo picked up the Tigers lone win at No. 4 with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Grand View picked up wins at No. 1, 2, 3 and 5 to claim the team win. The match at No. 6 singles was not completed, though Schroller was up in the second set after winning the first.

The Tigers will take on Ottawa (Kan.) on Friday, February 24, in Lawrence, Kansas. First serve is set for 10:45 AM.
