Tigers Victorious at NWU in Women's Tennis

Doane Women's Tennis took on Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday morning in Lincoln. The Tigers topped the Prairie Wolves, 6-3. Playing under NCAA Division III rules, the team score calculated each doubles match rather than one team point for winning two of the three matches.

In doubles play, Ava Macke and Liz van der Torre won 8-1 at 1-doubles. Ashlyn Kucera and Nina Ngo were victorious 8-4 at 2-doubles.

The Tigers won their singles matches at 1, 2, 3, and 4-singles. Macke won 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8), at 1-singles. At 2-singles, van der Torre won 6-2, 6-2 and at 3-singles, Kucera won 6-4, 6-1. Ngo won at 4-singles, 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-1).

Doane will take on Bethany for their 2023 home opener on Tuesday, March 28, at 2 PM.
