Women's Tennis Wins 2023 Home Opener

Doane Women's Tennis played their 2023 home opener on Tuesday afternoon with Bethany (Kan.) coming to town. The Tigers won five of the six singles matches and posted a 6-1 victory.

In doubles play, Doane won two of the three matches. Ava Macke and Liz van der Torre won 6-3 at 1-doubles while Ashlynn Kucera and Nina Ngo won 6-3 at 2-doubles.

Macke was a 6-4, 7-6 (8-6), winner at 1-singles with van der Torre winning 6-2, 6-4, at 2-singles. Ngo picked up a 7-6 (8-6), 6-0, victory at 4-singles. Kailyn Groski picked up a 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6), win at 5-singles and Grace Schroller won 6-0, 6-1, at 6-singles.

Doane will host Northwestern in GPAC play on Friday, March 31, at 1 PM inside Fuhrer Field House.
