Women's Tennis Goes Perfect Against Tabor
Women's Tennis pulled off a rare feat on Monday afternoon, posting a perfect game in shutting out Tabor, 7-0. The Tigers did not drop a game in the match, winning all singles matches in two sets by 6-0 scores as well as the doubles single set by 6-0 scores. Doane out-scored the Bluejays, 90-0.
Winning in singles play were Maria Purizaca at No. 1, Mariana Espinosa at No. 2, Liz Calderon at No. 3, Isabella Castillero at No. 4, Grace Schroller at No. 5, and Alejandra Prat at No. 6. Purizaca and Espinosa teamed up at No. 1, Calderon and Schroller at No. 2, and Castillero and Prat at No. 3 for the doubles matches.
The Tigers are scheduled to take on Coastal Alabama CC in an exhibition on Sunday, March 9, before taking on Bethel (Tenn.) in Mobile, Alabama, on Monday, March 10.
