Women's Tennis took on No. 21 Bethel (Tenn.) on Monday in Mobile, Alabama. The Tigers won two singles matches but fell to the Wildcats, 5-2.

Bethel swept the three doubles matches. At No. 1, the Wildcats won 6-4, while at No. 2 and No. 3 they won each match, 6-2.

In singles play, Maria Purizaca won her match over Sofia Canto, 6-1, 6-4. Kat Johnson won at No. 6 singles, 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8). The difference in the match for Doane came down to a pair of narrow defeats as Mariana Espinosa lost at No. 2, 4-6, 6-4, 0-1 (8-10), and Liz Calderon lost 7-6 (7-4), 0-6, 0-1 (7-10) at No. 3 singles.

Doane will take on Mobile (Ala.) on Tuesday in two matches with the first to start at 11 AM.
