Women's Tennis Rolls in Home Finale
Women's Tennis hosted Northwestern on Saturday afternoon following Senior Day festivities. The Tigers posted a 6-1 victory over the Red Raiders.
Doane took two of the three doubles matches to earn the first team point of the day. At No. 2 doubles, Liz Calderon and Grace Schroller won 6-3. The team of Isabella Castillero and Kat Johnson won at No. 3, 6-1.
Maria Purizaca collected a 6-0, 6-0, win over Pietra Ferreira at No. 1 singles. Mariana Espinosa won at No. 2 over Julia VandenBerg, 6-3, 6-2. Calderon collected a 6-1, 6-0, win at No. 3 over Ainslie Robinson. Schroller won by medical forfeit at No. 5 singles and Johnson won 6-3, 6-4, at No. 6 singles, defeating Alloree Else.
Next up for the Tigers will be a trip to Seward to take on Concordia on Tuesday, April 15, at 4 PM. The winner of the match will be the second seed in the GPAC Tournament.
