RED OAK, Iowa — The Doane University women's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over Ottawa University on Saturday, highlighted by strong performances in the top of the lineup along with several wins by default and forfeit at the bottom.

Doane secured the doubles point by winning all three matches. The No. 1 pairing of Maria Purizaca and Liz Calderon posted a 6-3 victory over Paula Persson and Mariam Alli-Balogun. The Tigers were also awarded wins at No. 2 doubles due to an injury default and at No. 3 doubles by forfeit.
