MOBILE, Ala. – The Doane women's tennis team closed out its two-match series against Mobile on Monday afternoon, falling 6-1 to the host Rams at the Mobile Tennis Center.

Mobile secured the doubles point with wins on all three courts. The duo of Aline Lema and Karolina Mrowiecova defeated Maria Purizaca and Liz Calderon 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2, Tara Zivic and Emily Grubach topped Grace Schroller and Kat Johnson 6-2, while Savana Schmitz and Caroline Johnson earned a 6-0 win over Isabella Castillero and Alejandra Prat at No. 3.

Doane's lone point came in singles play as Purizaca delivered a strong performance at the top of the lineup. The Tiger junior earned a straight-sets victory, defeating Zivic 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles.

Mobile responded with wins across the remaining five singles courts to secure the team victory.
