MOBILE, Ala. — The Doane University women's tennis team picked up a pair of singles victories but ultimately fell 5-2 to No. 15 Louisiana Christian on Wednesday morning at the Mobile Tennis Center.
The Tigers faced a tough start as the Wildcats secured the doubles point. Louisiana Christian claimed all three doubles matches, including wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles by scores of 6-0 and 6-1. The No. 1 doubles match went unfinished.

Akari Uchiyama claimed a 6-0, 6-0 win over Isabella Castillero at No. 5 singles, and Farren Allysia Sandy finished the match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Alejandra Prat at No. 6.
Doane's two singles victories against the nationally ranked Wildcats highlighted the Tigers' competitiveness against one of the top programs in the NAIA.
