Women's Track and Field in Action at Ward Haylett Invite

Women's Track and Field hosted the Ward Haylett Invite on Saturday to open up the 2024 indoor schedule. Southeast CC and Iowa Western CC also competed in the meet.

Doane won all but one event on the day. In the 60m dash, Isabel Bothwell posted a time of 8.04 to take first place. Kat Vogt won the 200m dash with a time of 26.93. Rylee Rice took the 600m title with a time of 1:51.34.

Reagan Shoemaker won the 800m run with a time of 2:39.92. Taking the 1000m run was Laura Hasemann with a time of 3:24.87. Danie Parriott ran a time of 5:47.52 to win the mile run.

In the 60m hurdles, Josie Garrett was second with a time of 9.16, just 0.02 off of the lead runner. The 4x400m relay team of Vogt, Chaney Nelson, Morgan Mahoney, and Kiley Hejtmanek won with a time of 4:23.41.

In the field events, Sarah Theiler won the high jump with a mark of 1.60m (5-03.00). Kennedy Stanley won the pole vault by meeting the NAIA "B" standard clearance of 3.52m (11-06.50).

Morgan Craig took first in the long jump with a mark of 5.31m (17-05.25). Rosalyn Roggasch hit a "B" standard mark in the triple jump as she leaped to a mark of 11.28m (37-00.25).

Sydney Biermann won the shot put with a top mark of 11.84m (38-10.25). Macy Fuller won the weight throw as she improved her NAIA "A" standard mark. Fuller hit a throw of 17.07m (56-00.00). Mia Knigge placed second and qualified for the NAIA National Championships by hitting the "A" standard. She had a top throw of 16.71m (54-10.00).

Doane will return to action as they host the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic on Saturday, January 13, in Crete.
