Women's Track Competes at Prairie Wolf and Polar Dog Invites
Women's Track and Field split their team between the Prairie Wolf Invite in Lincoln and the Polar Dog Invite in Seward on Friday. The Tigers had several strong performances between the two meets.
In Lincoln, Josie Garrett hit a NAIA "B" standard mark in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.96, a personal best and the 18th-fastest time in the NAIA this season. She was third overall in the race.
Lindsay Adams led the way in the long jump with a 10th place. She hit a mark of 5.33m (17-06.00). In the triple jump, Kyla Davis posted a mark of 11.09m (36-04.75) and placed fifth overall.
In Seward, Isabel Bothwell won the 60m dash with a time of 7.94 seconds. Britta Deden ran a time of 10.32 in the 60m hurdles and placed 21st.
Katie Vogt posted a time of 26.82 in the 200m and placed fifth for Doane. In the 600m run, Madison Lytle finished in seventh place with a time of 1:47.97. Chaney Nelson took third in the 800m with a time of 2:25.49.
In the 1000m, Danie Parriott finished in the runner-up spot with a time of 3:05.76. Laura Hasemann ran the mile run and placed fifth with a time of 5:46.60. Calla Wittland posted a time of 19:20.23 in the 5000m, placing sixth.
The 4x400m relay team of Vogt, Kiley Hejtmanek, Morgan Mahoney, and Nelson, posted a time of 4:07.47 to place third.
Jastiny Jackson posted a clearance of 1.60m (5-03.00) to place sixth. Deden took 23rd in the long jump with a leap of 4.27m (14-00.25).
Kaylee Pribyl won the pole vault with a mark of 3.77m (12-04.50). The mark moved her to third on the all-time Doane chart and into third alone on the NAIA chart this season.
In the shot put, Delaney Burge placed eighth with a top throw of 12.06m (39-06.75). Macy Fuller had the top mark in the weight throw for the Tigers, placing fifth with a toss of 16.28m (53-05.00).
Next up for the Tigers will be the Concordia Invite on January 27 in Seward.
