Women's Track and Field Hitting Stride Enter Final Weeks of Season

Women's Track and Field hosted the annual Fred Beile Classic on Friday and Saturday in Crete. The Tigers put together another strong weekend of action with three NAIA automatic qualifying marks and six that met the NAIA provisional standard.

On the track, Neryah Hekl won the 60m dash with a time of 7.74. Kiley Hejtmanek led the Tigers in the 200m, finishing eighth with a time of 27.20. Katie Vogt won the 400m with a time of 58.61. Her converted track time was 57.85, meeting the NAIA "B" standard and moving her into 25th on the national list.

Danie Parriott won the 600m with a time of 1:39.67. In the 800m, Emily Lytle paced Doane with a time of 2:32.33. Maddy Ramey finished ninth in the 1000m with a time of 3:35.51.

Laura Hasemann placed sixth in the mile run with a time of 5:41.04. Calla Wittland crossed in a time of 11:28.26 to place fourth in the 3000m run. Josie Garrett met the NAIA "B" standard in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.94 to place third.

The 4x400m relay team of Vogt, Chaney Nelson, Hejtmanek, and Lindsay Adams won with a time of 4:05.91.

In the field events, Jastiny Jackson and Garrett both cleared 1.60m (5-03.00) to tie for third. Kaylee Pribyl won the pole vault with a height of 3.67m (12-00.50), meeting the NAIA "A" standard. Kennedy Stanley hit the NAIA "B" standard with a height of 3.47m (11-04.50) and placed third..

Adams had the top mark in the long jump, leaping to a mark of 5.38m (17-08.00) to place third. Garrett won the triple jump with an NAIA "A" standard leap of 12.10m (39-08.50), third-best individual mark in program history. Rosalyn Roggasch met the NAIA "B" standard with a jump of 11.48m (37-08.00) as did Adams with a mark of 11.37m (37-03.75).

Macy Fuller placed third in the weight throw with a mark of 17.04m (55-11.00) to meet the NAIA "A" standard. Sydney Biermann was fourth in the shot put with a toss of 12.58m (41-03.25).

Chaney Nelson won the pentathlon with a total of 2,859 points.

Next up for the Tigers will be the Concordia Invite on Friday, February 9.
