Garrett Earns GPAC Weekly Honor

Josie Garrett has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports. She received the award for her efforts during the Fred Beile Classic on February 3 in Crete.

Garrett won the triple jump with a personal best mark of 12.10m (39-08.50). Her mark meets the NAIA automatic qualifying standard and sits fourth nationally. On the Doane all-time indoor charts, Garrett moved into third with her jump.

Additionally in the meet, Garrett placed third in the high jump with a mark of 1.60m (5-03.00) and fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.25m (17-02.75). On the track, Garrett met the NAIA provisional qualifying standard with a time of 8.94 to place third.

The Tigers return to action on Friday, February 9, when they compete at the Concordia Invite.
