Women's Track and Field Takes Part in Polar Dog Invite

Women's Track and Field competed at the Polar Dog Invite on Friday in Seward.

RaeAnn Thompson took second place in the 60m dash with a time of 7.82. Katie Vogt picked up a pair of second place finishes in the 200m and 400m. She ran a time of 26.05 in the 200m and a time of 57.88 in the 400m. Madison Lytle placed 3rd in the 600m with a time of 1:48.41.

Danie Parriott won the 800m run with a time of 2:23.60. Laura Hasemann took third in the mile run with a time of 5:46.41. Calla Wittland ran a time of 19:53.29 in the 5000m and placed second. Chaney Nelson took seventh in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.72.

In the high jump, Katelynn Kratz won with a mark of 1.60m (5-03.00). Kennedy Stanley won the pole vault with a mark of 3.65m (11-11.75), improving on her NAIA provisional qualifying standard mark this year. 

Josie Garrett won the triple jump with a mark of 11.70m (38-04.75), breaking the meet record and hitting the NAIA provisional qualifying standard. Rosalyn Roggasch took sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.34m (17-06.25).

Alivia Baucom won the shot put with a NAIA automatic qualifying mark. She hit a throw of 14.30m (46-11.00). Madison Sutton took second in the weight throw with a mark of 17.82m (58-05.75).

The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, January 25, when they return to Seward for the Concordia Classic.
