Sutton Breaks Weight Throw Record in Seward
Women's Track and Field traveled to Seward to participate in the Concordia Invite on Friday afternoon.
Neryah Hekl ran a time of 7.65 in the 60m dash to meet the NAIA provisional qualifying standard. She won the race and was 0.03 off her school record time. Katie Vogt won the 200m with a time of 25.46. Kiley Hejtmanek took fourth in the 400m with a time of 1:00.20.
Allison Ernst posted a time of 1:47.12 in the 600m to finish sixth. Marissa Miles placed fifth with a time of 2:32.00 in the 800m. Maddy Ramey finished sixth in the 1000m with a time of 3:17.42. Aubrie Johnson took 10th in the mile run with a time of 6:26.18. Katelyn Iwata ran a time of 12:38.00 in the 3000m to finish 14th. In the 60m hurdles, Dayle Haake placed fifth with a time of 9.53.
In the field events, Katelynn Kratz placed second with a clearance of 1.55m (5-01.00). Kaylee Pribyl and Kennedy Stanley tied for first in the pole vault as they both cleared 3.70m (12-01.50).
Rosalyn Roggasch won the triple jump with a NAIA provisional qualifying mark of 11.50m (37-08.75). Abby Fontana placed eighth in the long jump with a mark of 4.88m (16-00.25).
In the shot put, Alivia Baucom won with a throw of 14.22m (46-08.00), meeting the NAIA automatic standard. Madison Sutton placed third with a throw of 13.95m (45-09.25), meeting the provisional standard.
Sutton broke the school record in the weight throw as she hit a mark of 19.18m (62-11.25) on her final throw. She placed second with her NAIA automatic qualifying mark. Kaylie Lotspeich took third with a provisional qualifying mark of 16.88m (55-04.75).
Doane returns to action on February 14-15 when the Tigers compete in the GPAC Championships in Mitchell, S.D.
