Women's Track and Field Throwers Compete in Seward
SEWARD, Neb. — The Doane University women's track & field team competed at the Polar Dog Invite with a strong showing in the throwing events, highlighted by multiple podium finishes and two NAIA 'B' standard marks on Friday.
Junior Delaney Burge led the Tigers in the shot put, finishing runner-up with a throw of 13.54 meters (44-5.25) to secure an NAIA 'B' standard. Burge was consistent throughout the competition, improving on her mark in the final round to solidify second place.
