Housh Runs to GPAC Honor
(Sioux City, Iowa) The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's indoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for January 26 – February 2, 2014. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2013-2014 GPAC players-of-the-week and players and coaches-of-the-year awards program.

Track Events – Sam Housh, Doane
Doane's Sam Housh is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Track Athlete-of-the-Week. Housh, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, hit a personal best time in the 60-meter hurdles and moved into fourth in the NAIA, finishing in 8.11 seconds Saturday at the Concordia Classic. In addition to the 60-meter hurdles, Housh finished second overall in the 200-meter dash at the meet with a time of 22.69 seconds. Housh currently leads the GPAC in the 60-meter hurdles and ranks third in the 200-meter dash.
Field Events – Tommie Bardsley, Nebraska Wesleyan
Tommie Bardsley of Nebraska Wesleyan is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Field Athlete-of-the-Week. A senior from Beatrice, Nebraska, Bardsley jumped 6-11 in the high jump Saturday at the Concordia Classic in his first meet of the season, taking home first in the event. His mark is the best jump in NCAA Division III this season and is the best mark in the GPAC by over four inches.
