Pribyl Ties School Record in Pole Vault
Women's Track and Field opened the outdoor season in Kearney on Saturday as they competed in the Central Nebraska Challenge.
On the track, Neryah Hekl took sixth in the 100m dash with a time of 12.51 seconds. Kat Vogt took fourth in the 200m with a time of 25.14. Vogt hit a NAIA provisional qualifying time in the 400m as she was clocked in 57.22, the fifth-fastest time in program history.
Danie Parriott finished sixth in the 800m with a time of 2:23.46. In the 1500m, Laura Hasemann took 12th with a time of 5:23.57.
In the 100m hurdles, Chaney Nelson placed sixth with a time of 16.58. She took second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.00.
The 4x100m relay team of Isabel Bothwell, Morgan Mahoney, Lindsay Adams, and Hekl posted a winning time of 48.23.
In the pole vault, Kaylee Pribyl won with a clearance of 4.00m (13-01.50) and hit a NAIA national qualifying mark. Her height tied the school record set in 2008 by Meagan Bauer and ranks 64th in the nation for all collegiate levels.
Jastiny Jackson took third in the high jump with a mark of 1.60m (5-03.00). Lindsay Adams took second in the long jump with a leap of 5.45m (17-10.75). Josie Garrett finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 11.26m (36-11.50).
In the throwing events, all four events were contested with an open category and an invitational category. Alivia Baucom took third in the invitational shot put with a throw of 12.55m (41-02.25). Natylie Myers finished second in the open shot put with a mark of 11.89m (39-00.25).
Baucom placed sixth in the invitational discus with a throw of 41.39m (135-09). Delaney Burge placed fourth in the open discus with a mark of 37.56m (123-03). Macy Fuller placed second in the invitational hammer throw with a NAIA national qualifying mark of 52.39m (171-10). Mia Knigge placed second in the open hammer throw with a mark of 46.01m (150-11).
In the invitational javelin, Molly Vander Hamm finished fifth with a mark of 37.64m (123-06). Kalli Sutton took second in the open javelin with a mark of 33.60m (110-03).
Next up for the Tigers will be the Concordia Invitational on April 5-6 in Seward.
