Vogt Named GPAC Track Athlete of the Week

Women's Track and Field athlete Katie Vogt has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week after her performance for the Tigers in their dual at Nebraska Wesleyan last week.

Vogt posted the fastest time in the GPAC and 11th fastest in the NAIA in the 400m on Friday as she ran a time of 55.86. She ran the third leg of the 4x100m relay team. The squad ran a school record time of 46.65, seventh-fastest in the NAIA. Both of her marks met the NAIA national qualifying standard as well.

On the season, Vogt currently holds the fastest time in the GPAC for the 200m and 400m dashes as well as a member of the 4x100m relay team. The Tigers' 4x400m relay team, with Vogt running the second leg, posted a season-best time this past weekend as well and is currently second on the GPAC performance list.

Vogt and her Tiger teammates will host their lone home meet of the outdoor season with the Jim Dutcher Memorial Classic on April 18-20. As part of the meet, the John Green Combined Events will be held on April 18-19.
