Women's Track and Field Takes Part in NWU Meet
Women's Track and Field took part in the Prairie Wolf Invite on Saturday in Lincoln.
On the track, Caydence Kuss was the Tigers' top finisher in the 400m with a 10th place finish and time of 1:07.05. Maddy Ramey took second in the 800m with a time of 2:27.85. Ashlei McDonald placed third in the 1500m with a time of 4:51.32. Aubrie Johnson won the 10,000m run with a time of 46:43.76.
Britta Deden placed sixth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:12.89. Mackenzie Spencer won the 3,000m steeplechase in a time of 13:58.63.
In the field events, Katelynn Kratz tied for fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.58m (5-02.25). Kaylee Pribyl won the pole vault with a clearance of 3.71m (12-02.00), meeting the NAIA provisional qualifying standard.
Cody Eaton took 12th in the long jump with a leap of 4.57m (15-00.00). Alivia Baucom won the shot put with a throw of 14.32m (46-11.75), meeting the NAIA automatic qualifying standard.
In the discus, Madison Sutton won with a throw of 47.04m (154-04) with Baucom taking second with a mark of 46.36m (152-01). Both marks met the NAIA provisional qualifying standard. Sutton won the hammer throw as well with an NAIA automatic qualifying mark of 54.12m (177-07). Her mark is the second-best in program history. Delaney Burge won the javelin with a throw of 39.28m (128-10).
Doane will compete at the GPAC Championships in Hastings next weekend on May 2-3.
