Women's 4x400m Relay Team Qualifies for Nationals at Drake Relays
Women's Track and Field sent a select group of athletes to the annual Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, to compete on Friday and Saturday.
In the 100m dash, RaeAnn Thompson placed 22nd with a time of 12.14. Thompson ran the lead leg of the women's 4x100m relay, and was joined by Morgan Mahoney, Kat Vogt, and Neryah Hekl. The squad ran a time of 47.39 in the prelims, meeting the NAIA provisional qualifying standard. In the finals on Saturday, they posted a time of 46.56 to place fourth overall.
The 4x400m relay team of Vogt, Chaney Nelson, Kiley Hejtmanek, and Danie Parriott competed on Friday and ran a time of 3:50.03 in the prelims and advanced to the finals. Their time was an NAIA automatic qualifying time. On Saturday, they posted a time of 3:47.84 for the second-fastest time in the NAIA this season to finish fourth in the meet.
In the triple jump, Josie Garret placed ninth with a mark of 11.64m (38-02.25). Kyla Davis took 13th with a mark of 11.13m (36-06.25).
