Sutton Named NAIA Field Athlete of the Week

Madison Sutton has received honors from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) this week for her accomplishments in competition last week. Sutton was named the Women's Field Athlete of the Week. 

 

Sutton posted the top mark in the GPAC and 5th-best in the NAIA in the hammer throw with a toss of 54.12m (177-07) at the Prairie Wolf Invite. She won the discus with a mark of 47.04m (154-04), meeting the NAIA provisional standard. Sutton added a third place finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.49m (44-03.25). On the year, she leads the GPAC in both the hammer throw and the discus while sitting seventh in the shot put.
