LINCOLN, Neb. – The Doane women's track and field team delivered a dominant all-around performance on Wednesday, defeating Nebraska Wesleyan by a score of 123-61 in a dual held in Lincoln.

The Tigers controlled the meet from the outset, piling up victories across sprints, distance events, relays, jumps, and throws to secure the decisive win.

Doane set the tone early in the sprints as Neryah Hekl led a 1-2 finish in the 100 meters with a time of 12.01, followed closely by Elizabeth Wemhoff. The Tigers continued their sprint success in the 200 meters where RaeAnn Thompson captured the win in 25.34, while Morgan Mahoney added points with a fourth-place finish.

The 400 meters proved to be a highlight for Doane as Kat Vogt delivered a standout performance, winning in 53.32 while hitting the NAIA "A" standard. She broke the school record (previously 54.17) and moved atop the NAIA performance chart. Tania Gleason followed with a runner-up finish while posting a NAIA "B" standard, giving the Tigers a strong boost in the event.

In the middle-distance races, Danie Parriott claimed the 800-meter title (2:17.00), while Doane dominated the 1500 meters with Maddy Ramey and Laura Hasemann finishing first and second. The Tigers swept the top three spots in the 5,000 meters, led by Kristen Billings.

Doane also excelled in the hurdles and relays. Chaney Nelson won the 400 hurdles (1:04.22) and added a fourth-place finish in the 100 hurdles, while the 4x100 relay team of Thompson, Mahoney, Wemhoff, and Hekl raced to victory with a NAIA "B" qualifying time of 46.75. The Tigers capped the track events with another win in the 4x400 relay, clocking 3:49.38 to meet the NAIA "B" standard.

In the field events, Doane showcased its depth. Kayley Thompson led a strong showing in the high jump, while Avery Scott won the pole vault with a NAIA "B" mark of 3.68 meters. The Tigers also dominated the horizontal jumps, highlighted by victories from Kyla Davis in the triple jump and strong finishes in the long jump.

The throws were another area of strength for Doane. Madison Heusinkvelt led the way with wins in both the shot put (13.18m) and javelin (42.10m), the latter marking a NAIA "B" standard. Kaylie Lotspeich and Mia Knigge finished first and second in the hammer throw, both achieving NAIA "B" marks, while Paige Bull added a runner-up finish in the discus with a NAIA "B" throw.
