Doane Volleyball hosted No. 14 Bellevue on Tuesday evening in a non-conference match-up in Crete. The Bruins struck early but the Tigers would not go down without a fight as Bellevue won, 3-1 (25-14, 22-25, 25-12, 25-22).

Jaime Renshaw (SR/Sioux Falls, S.D.) picked up a triple-double for the Tigers, posting 10 kills, 20 assists, and 18 digs, all to lead Doane. Kirsten Bures (SR/Odell, Neb.) matched Renshaw for team-high honors with 10 kills and Simonie Mendenhall (SR/Clancy, Mont.) added nine kills.

Behind Renshaw in assists was Jordan Bolte (SO/Bruning, Neb.) with 14. Bolte was joined by Mariah Sliva (FR/Shickley, Neb.) with one ace serve apiece. In the dig department, MacKenzie Painter (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) added 12 digs and Bolte finished with 10. The Tigers collected 8.0 team blocks in the match, led by Cassidy Tompkin (SR/Clay Center, Neb.) with five total blocks.

Doane will take to the road this coming weekend as they visit northwest Iowa, stopping by Orange City to take on the Red Raiders of Northwestern at 7:30 PM. On Saturday, Doane will head over to Sioux Center to take on Dordt in a game now scheduled for 5:00 PM.
