Volleyball Edged in Five Sets

Doane Volleyball pushed No. 12 Dordt to the limit on Saturday evening in Sioux Center, Iowa, before falling in five sets. Games scores were 25-13, 19-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-10, in the Defenders' favor.

Jaime Renshaw (SR/Sioux Falls, S.D.) posted a triple-double, collecting 14 kills, 23 assists, and 23 digs to lead the Tigers. Taylor Sluka (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) added 13 kills and Frankie Curren-Graff (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) picked up a career-high 10 kills. Jordan Bolte (SO/Bruning, Neb.) dished out 20 assists as well for Doane.

The Tigers recorded four ace serves in the match, two from Harper Case (FR/Lincoln, Neb.) and two from Sophia McKinney (FR/Grand Island, Neb.). Behind Renshaw in digs was MacKenzie Painter (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) with 17, McKinney with 16, and Case with 11. Doane recorded 3.0 team blocks with Cassidy Tompkin (SR/Clay Center, Neb.) in on two blocks.

Doane will return home and host Saint Mary (Neb.) on Wednesday, October 12, at 7:30 PM.
