Navarro, Burwell Named CSC Academic All-District

Academic All-District honors were announced this week for volleyball as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Doane placed two members on this year's list, which requires at least a 3.50 grade point average and meeting the participation requirements set for the sport.

Olivia Navarro and Gracie Burwell were named from the 2023 Doane squad. Navarro, a senior middle blocker, averaged 1.68 kills per set with a team-leading .275 attack percentage. She also led the team with a 0.74 blocks per set average on 65 total blocks. Burwell, a red-shirt freshman outside hitter, posted 2.04 kills per set. She was third on the team with 171 kills and added 19 total blocks and was 29-of-31 in serve receptions.
