HASTINGS, Neb. - The Doane volleyball team pushed rival Hastings to four hard-fought sets on Saturday afternoon at Lynn Farrell Arena, but the Broncos held on for a 3–1 win (28–26, 25–18, 21–25, 29–27) in GPAC action.

After a back-and-forth opening frame that featured 11 ties and four lead changes, Hastings edged out a 28–26 win to take early control. The Broncos carried that momentum into the second, using a .250 attack percentage to claim a 25–18 victory. Doane answered in the third, hitting .104 while holding Hastings to .071 to extend the match with a 25–21 set win. The fourth set mirrored the opener as the two teams traded points deep into extra rallies before Hastings closed out the 29–27 clincher.

Junior Addison Raebel led the Tigers' offense with 15 kills, while Brooke Larsen added 11 kills and 14 digs. Kate Roseland and Hilary Hupp chipped in seven kills apiece, and Camdyn Carpenter orchestrated the attack with 45 assists to go along with 25 digs and two service aces. Defensively, Larsen posted three total blocks and Jenna Sweeny added two solo blocks as Doane finished with 10 total blocks on the night.

As a team, Doane recorded 103 digs, four aces, and hit .055 across the four sets, while Hastings hit .098 and posted 91 digs and five aces.

The loss drops Doane to 12–16 overall and 3–10 in GPAC play, while Hastings improved to 6–17, 3–10 GPAC. The Tigers will look to rebound when they return home next week to host Saint Mary (Neb.) at Haddix Center on Wednesday.
