Volleyball Closes Out Season
SEWARD, Neb. – Doane closed its 2025 volleyball season on Tuesday night, falling in straight sets to No. 4 Concordia (25-16, 25-15, 25-14) inside Friedrich Arena. The Tigers finished the year 12-19 overall and 3-13 in GPAC play.
Doane battled early behind strong efforts from senior setter Camdyn Carpenter, who handed out 25 assists and added six digs and two service aces. Senior Mariah Sliva led the Tiger attack with 10 kills on .318 hitting, while Hilary Hupp contributed seven kills and a block assist. Sydney Estill chipped in seven kills and three digs, and Kaylee Rammell anchored the back row with a team-high 11 digs.
The Bulldogs, improving to 22-2 and 15-1 in the conference, hit an impressive .407 as a team. Ashley Keck paced Concordia with 13 kills and four aces, while Ava Greene, Molli Martin, and Ella Waters combined for 20 kills and solid blocking at the net. Concordia's balanced offense proved too efficient, limiting Doane to a .122 team hitting percentage.
Doane's best stretch came midway through the opening set, when Sliva, Hupp, Estill, and Lillian Parolek sparked a 5-0 rally that pulled the Tigers within one at 16-15 before the Bulldogs pulled away. Despite flashes of rhythm, the Tigers couldn't overcome Concordia's offensive depth and serving pressure, which produced eight aces.
