Women's Wrestling Sends Five to Missouri

Doane Women's Wrestling traveled to Marshall, Mo., for the Missouri Valley Open on Friday and Saturday. The Tigers took five wrestlers to the meet after the short turnaround from their Arizona trip. Doane wrestlers combined for five wins in the open.

Brooke Cox went 1-2 at 116, picking up a pin of Carisa Epling of Colorado Mesa in 1:55. Sem'maurah Collins went 1-2 at 155 as she picked up a pin of Kimberly Carlin of Colorado Mesa in 2:22.

Kenisha Jacsaint finished with a 3-2 mark in the 191 division. She opened with an 11-0 tech fall win over Samantha Ruano of William Penn. After dropping her match to NAIA No. 11 Grace Kristoff of Southern Oregon, Jacsaint bounced back with two wins. She defeated Kori Davidson of Missouri Valley in 5:58 and added a tech fall win, 12-2, over Kendall McGarity of Gannon (Penn.).

Following a break, the Tigers will return to action for their first-ever appearance in front of the home fans as they participate in the Conner/Oppenheim Doane Open on December 3.
