Women's Wrestling Closes National Duals Against Baker
Women's Wrestling closed out their first appearance at the NWCA National Duals as they took on Baker (Kan.). The Wildcats picked up a 28-18 win over Doane as the Tigers fell to 0-4 in duals this season.
Doane had four wins in the dual, two coming via forfeit as Kimberly Navarrete won at 101 and Aspen Barber won at 155. Cristelle Rodriguez picked up a 10-0 tech fall win at 123 against Zoe Shariq. Bridgette Sotomayor won by tech fall, 12-2, over Belle Hernandez at 136.
Baker won the final two matches to turn a one point lead, 19-18, into the final 10 point margin.
Next up for the Tigers will be the York Open on Saturday, January 13.
