Parriott Competes at NAIA Cross Country Nationals

Tallahassee, Fla. – The NAIA Cross Country Championships were held on Friday morning in Florida. The runners made their way through the foggy Apalachee Regional Park course with the women's race starting at 8:30 AM local time. Doane was represented by senior Danie Parriott.

Parriott earned an at-large berth through the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) championship race two weeks ago. She was able to get out to a quick start but would get caught in a large group that would slow her pace down in the middle stages of the race. She finished the final 1000 meters strong and posted a time of 22:58.3 to place 109th overall. 

A two-time national qualifier, at last year's championships in Columbia, Mo., Parriott placed 217th with a time of 23:50.8.
