Men's Basketball Drops First Game of Season

Men's Basketball played their first road game of the season as they took on Peru State on Saturday evening. The Bobcats, receiving votes in the NAIA poll, posted a 72-62 win over the Tigers. Doane is 3-1 on the season.

Ty Foster led Doane in scoring on the night with 14 points. Jack Wilson finished with 13 points and six rebounds. Caleb Hrabik posted nine rebounds while Casen Chaney and Glavine McDonald added seven rebounds apiece. Chaney and Wilson led the team with three assists apiece while McDonald had a team-high three steals.

For the game, Doane shot 36-percent from the floor (21-of-59) while hitting 4-of-19 (21-percent) from behind the arc. They were 16-of-28 (57-percent) at the free throw line. Peru State shot 40-percent from the floor (22-of-55) and 29-percent (9-of-31) from behind the arc. They were 19-of-27 at the free throw line for 70-percent.

Carlos Hines led the Bobcats with 23 points and nine rebounds. Lamar Lovelace added 19 points off the bench.

The Tigers will return to the hardwood in a week when they begin conference play on Saturday, November 16. Doane will host Dakota Wesleyan at 3:45 PM.
