Men's Basketball Drops High Scoring Contest by (16) Northwestern

Men's Basketball took on No. 16 Northwestern on Saturday afternoon in Crete. It was a high scoring contest with both shooting well as the Red Raiders picked up a 101-87 win.

Northwestern shot 67-percent (35-of-52) from the floor, hitting 72-percent (13-of-18) of their 3-point attempts, and 95-percent (18-of-19) of their free throw attempts. Doane shot 61-percent (33-of-54) from the floor, converting on 44-percent (11-of-25) of their 3-point attempts, and 63-percent (10-of-16) of the free throw attempts.

Brady Timm posted a game-high 34 points to go with six assists to lead the Tigers. Casen Chaney added 21 points and two steals.  Timm and Chaney tied for team-high honors with four rebounds apiece. Glavine McDonald added 14 points and Jack Wilson finished with 13 points.

Northwestern received 27 points from Jalen Langsy as he hit seven 3-point baskets. Alex Van Kalsbeek posted 25 points and Jesse Van Kalsbeek added 19 points.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, February 8, in Sioux City as they take on Briar Cliff.
