Free Throw Advantage Lifts BCU Over Men's Basketball

Men's Basketball dropped an 88-76 matchup with Briar Cliff on Saturday in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Tigers were led by Casen Chaney with 20 points as he hit four 3-point baskets. Glavine McDonald added 18 points and Caleb Hrabik posted 14 points and team-highs with nine rebounds and four assists. Jack Wilson added eight rebounds in the game, six on the offensive end of the court.

Doane shot 42-percent (29-of-69) from the floor and 39-percent (12-of-31) from behind the arc. They were 60-percent (6-of-10) at the free throw line. Briar Cliff shot 57-percent (26-of-46) from the floor, 41-percent (9-of-22) from 3-point range, and 90-percent (27-of-30) at the free throw line.

Jamison Helmers led BCU with 23 points and Jaxson Wingert posted 20 points. Matthew Stillwell finished with a double-double, 19 points and 10 rebounds.

The Tigers will host Midland on Wednesday, February 12, at 7:45 PM in Crete.
