Men's Basketball Falls by 10 to Midland

Men's Basketball hosted Midland on Wednesday evening in Crete. The Tigers put forth a valiant effort but came up short in a 68-58 loss to the Warriors.

Doane was led offensively by Jack Wilson and Caleb Hrabik as both players posted 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Wilson recorded a double-double by adding 11 rebounds in the game, seven on the offensive end of the court. Casen Chaney dished out six assists while Trey Connell led the team with three steals.

The Tigers shot 38-percent (23-of-61) for the game and 30-percent (9-of-30) from behind the arc. Doane was held without a field goal over the last 6:43 of play. They shot 75-percent (3-of-4) at the free throw line. Midland shot 55-percent (27-of-49) from the floor and 57-percent (8-of-14) from behind the arc. They finished the game on a 13-1 run, sealing the game at the free throw line where they finished at 75-percent (6-of-8).

The Warriors received 13 points apiece from Jeff Rozell III and Jake Orr. Ryan Larsen added 10 points and all three players tied for team-high honors with five rebounds apiece. Orr dished out seven assists in the game.

Doane will be at home on Saturday, February 15, at 3:45 PM to take on Dordt.
