Men's Golf Places Seventh in Las Vegas Shootout

Doane Men's Golf competed in the Las Vegas Shootout in Boulder City, Nevada, on Monday and Tuesday. The Tigers finished seventh with a team score of 885 (298-295-292) over three rounds. Ottawa (Ariz.) won the tournament with an 831 (277-276-278). There were 87 golfers in the tournament.

Achilleas Lazaridis led the Tigers with a 217 (71-71-75) and tied for 18th. He was fourth in the tournament for Pars with 35. He played the Par 3 holes at one-over par, 14th-best in the tournament. Ryan Weiss tied for 25th with a 220 (76-71-73). He played the Par 4 holes at four-over par, 18th-best in the tournament, and was one of 22 players to record an eagle in the event. 

Blake Anderson was among the list of players to record an eagle as well for Doane. He tied for 31st overall with a 222 (77-76-69). His third round score was the lowest for the Tigers in the tournament and he led Doane players with 11 birdies over the three rounds. Julius Rauter tied for 47th with a 227 (75-77-75) and Blake Skoumal placed 65th with a 236 (76-83-77).

Next up for the Tigers will be the Oak Tree Invitational on March 13-14 in Edmond, Oklahoma.
