Nine Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes for Softball

Doane Softball placed nine student-athletes on this 2023 NAIA Scholar-Athlete list. To be recognized, a student-athlete must be of at least sophomore academic status, be enrolled at their institution for one full year at the time nominations are required, and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better. Nominations were due prior to the end of the spring semester.

This year's recipients were Payton Cooley, Grace Dowding, Angelina Esqueda, Emily Haines, Jaiden Papik, Anna Prauner, Morgan Queen, Rylee Sand, and Jayden Young. Four players were honored for the third time in their careers, Esqueda, Haines, Queen, and Young. Cooley received the honor for the second time while Dowding, Prauner, and Sand were recognized for the first time.
