Doane Women's Basketball hosted Concordia (Neb.) on Wednesday evening inside the Haddix Center. The Tigers had a hot start only to have the Bulldogs answer in the second half to defeat Doane, 92-80.
The opening two quarters saw Doane put 23 points on the board in each as they held a 46-36 lead at the break. Concordia responded by hitting 63-percent from the field in the 3rd quarter and out-scoring the Tigers by 16 points (33-17).
Mak Hatcliff led Doane with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Rylie Rice added 16 points while Macy Holtz and Libby Trausch finished with 12 points apiece. Megan Chambers added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Doane shot 36.8-percent from the floor, hitting 11-of-35 from beyond the arc. The Tigers were 13-of-14 at the free throw line. Concordia shot 46.3-percent from the floor, hitting 15-of-32 from behind the arc. They were 15-of-18 at the free throw line.
Next up for the Tigers will be a trip to Sioux Center, Iowa, to take on No. 4 Dordt on February 11.
