Men's Basketball Falls at Briar Cliff

Doane Men's Basketball dropped a 70-45 decision at Briar Cliff on Saturday afternoon in Sioux City, Iowa. The Chargers were hot from behind the arc as they pulled away from the Tigers in the second half.

Briar Cliff shot 50-percent, 15-of-30, from behind the arc and shot 48-percent from the floor for the game. Doane was limited to 26-percent, 5-of-19, behind the 3-point line while shooting 35-percent from the floor on the day.

Brady Timm led Doane with 12 points and David Mascarenas added 10 points. Fred Criqui posted a team-high eight rebounds while Will Grixby led the way with two assists.

The Chargers were led by Conner Groves with 17 points as he hit five 3-point baskets. Jaden Kleinhesselink added 13 points with three 3-point baskets and Blake Sindelar finished with 12 points, also hitting three 3-point baskets.

Doane will return home on January 11 to take on Dordt at 7:45 PM.
