Wilson Leads Men's Basketball with 19 Points

Men's Basketball played their first road conference game of the season on Saturday, traveling to Sioux City, Iowa, to take on Morningside. The Mustangs, receiving votes in the latest NAIA poll, posted a 100-50 victory over the Tigers.

Morningside jumped out to a 32-10 lead through nine minutes of action and led 46-27 at the break. The Mustangs used a pair of 10-0 runs to pull away in the second half as they shot 60-percent from the floor while holding Doane to 36-percent shooting. Morningside hit 19 3-point baskets while the Tigers made two.

Jack Wilson paced the Tigers with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Casen Chaney and Glavine McDonald posted five rebounds apiece while Brayden Wampler-Foust led the team with two assists. McDonald and Wampler-Foust led the way with two steals apiece.

Morningside received 19 points apiece from Joey Skoff and Daniel Brocaille. Justin Sitti added 17 points.

Doane will go out of conference for their next game, taking on Tabor (Kan.) in Hillsboro, Kansas, on Tuesday, November 26. Game time is set for 3:00 PM.
